openHPC Status update (Eric (ARM))
Architecture and test coordinator roles being fulfilled by Eric at the moment

Working to patch werewolf so that this just works
KV: How easy is it to commision the servers?
EV: Fairly straightforward - just Need to manually configure the Pxe order
EV: May need to factor in some peculiarities from the kernel
MS: 4.9 kernel includes all that is needed
openHPC Will track the stable releases of the distros. The idea is to provide a reference. There is still further discussion but the current plan is to follow stable releases
MS: Have you looked at the Debian SC efforts?
EV: Not specifically but am using Debian and should be straightforward to push the patches up
LW: Specifically HPC interest on Debian? Not something that is seen by the Market which suggests CentOS and Suse
MS: Yes and that is correct for anything outside of China
openHPC meetings are open to all and anyone can dial in
LW: How do you see this consumed from a customer point of view?
EV: There are many downloads but not much info on how it is being used. Looking to gather info on deployment but it all depends on vendors being forthcoming to information
