Minutes

  • Bootstrapping Tasks (Renato Golin)
    • Larry: ThunderX config in TACC, do you have access? Are you tracking that?
      • Renato: No
      • Darren and Eric to follow up and get Linaro access (Martin, Renato and Kanta)
  • Tianhong: Supports 3rd option. HiSilicon can support in providing HW
  • Kanta to send email specifying HW requirements 3xD05
  • Kato: 4th Choice. User emulation is first priority. SVE emulation on x86 2nd priority. Ultimately what all 4 but understand that we need to prioritise
  • Tianhong: Is a HW license required?
    • Martin: No. we are only dealing with open source
  • Larry: Happy with current suggestions
  • Grant: Plan reasonable for now
  • Jakob: Looking for autovectorisations on compilers to work well
  • Larry: Generically on benchmarks. What are the target list e.g top 10 benchmarks
  • Kanta: We are in the process of pulling this information together to present to the SC
  • Tianhong: Transferring x86 vector interaction to ARM has been very hard. Not sure about performance
  • Kato: Who has access to benchmarking results?
    • Andrea: Member confidential benchmark results are never shared
    • Any results that are shared are always agreed by the SIG members
